Terrene McFLY 29X2.8 Light

I got the McFly to replace a 29x2.6 Vittoria Barzo. The claimed McFly weight on the website is 876g, which is close to the Barzo 853g, so I thought I would try a wider tire. The actual weight was 1050g! Almost 200g heavier than the Barzo. In addition, the 29x2.8 McFly is 62mm wide on the rim (30mm internal width is a bit narrower than recommended), narrower than the Barzo, 64mm wide on the same rim. The good news is that the McFly is very supple and has a smooth ride, even though it is narrower and heavier than I was hoping for.
